The California Lighthouse stands in the Hudishibana area near Aruba's northwestern tip, on a high seaside elevation overlooking the western coastline. It was named after the S.S. California, which sank before the lighthouse was built in 1910. After a restoration, it opened for climbs to the top in 2016. The tourism board highlights sunset as a popular time to visit.
